High in the north of East Frisia - with the North Sea only eight kilometres away - lies our tranquil community of Lütetsburg, or Lütsbörg in East Frisian. It is named after Schloss Lütetsburg and the adjacent castle gardens in the style of an English landscape garden. The zu Inn- und Knyphausen family has lived here for generations, but today Lütetsburg is far more than just a noble residence:
Culturally, it offers a place to stroll, linger & dream with the Lütetsburg Castle gardens, including café and shop, as well as numerous events in the gardens and in the “Kulturscheune”.
Other mainstays of the Lütetsburg location are agriculture and forestry, the energy industry with biogas plants and wind turbines. Lütetsburg is also a place for golf: the golf course with two 9-hole courses and left-course characters captivates with its well-kept greens and natural conditions: Right next to the castle gardens, you can practice teeing off here, compete in tournaments or simply recharge your batteries.
